Privacy policy
Effective 10 September 2026. Label Maker & Barcode Print is operated by Piya Traders. Contact: omdeeppiyanp@gmail.com.
Your labels and files
The app stores labels, selected spreadsheet data, images used on labels, printer profiles and print history in its local library. We do not operate an account system or cloud library, or receive that content on a developer server. Backups are unencrypted files shared to a destination you choose. Exported PDF and PNG files, backups and printed output are controlled by the recipients, storage services and printers you select.
Deleting a saved label removes that library entry. Print history keeps separate snapshots so jobs can be reproduced; delete history entries separately when no longer needed. Removing the app removes its local library, subject to operating-system backup and retention behavior. Android automatic app backup is disabled. iOS device backups may include app data. Previously shared files and printed output remain outside our control.
Camera and printer access
The camera scans barcodes on your device. The app does not upload camera frames or record a photo library. Google ML Kit provides Android scanning and may send the technical data described below. Manual entry remains available if camera permission is denied.
The app sends selected label content to your chosen printer or system print service. Bluetooth, USB and local-network access support these connections. Older Android versions require location permission for Bluetooth discovery; the app does not use this permission to track your location. Ordinary local printer protocols may be unencrypted.
Android advertising and consent
The Android edition uses Google Mobile Ads and Google's User Messaging Platform. These services can process IP addresses, approximate location inferred from IP, device and advertising identifiers, ad interactions, and diagnostic or performance data for advertising, measurement, security and fraud prevention. Processing depends on your choices, device settings and applicable consent requirements. Google and its advertising partners may receive this data. See Google's privacy policy and Google advertising controls.
Where required, the Android edition presents a consent message before requesting ads. You can reopen available choices under Settings > Ad privacy choices. You can also manage your advertising identifier in device settings. Editing, saved work, ordinary printing and export remain available when ads are unavailable or consent is declined. Optional rewarded ads offer higher-resolution output for a job.
iOS subscriptions
The iOS edition is ad-free. Designing and previewing labels, keeping your library, backups and the fixed printer test label are free. Printing your own labels and PDF/PNG export require an active Apple subscription. Apple processes payment, refunds and subscription renewal using your Apple account. We do not receive your payment card details. The app reads Apple-verified subscription status on your device to decide whether printing and export are available; that status is not included as an access grant in library backups. Subscription expiry does not delete saved designs. See Apple privacy and manage subscriptions in your Apple account settings.
Scanner diagnostics and app events
Google's bundled ML Kit for Android may collect device and app information, installation identifiers, performance diagnostics, API configuration and usage events. Scanned camera images are processed on your device. See ML Kit's Android data disclosure.
Our own event instrumentation keeps a bounded set of event names and numerical counts in memory. It has no remote analytics endpoint and excludes label text, barcode contents, filenames and printer addresses. Development versions may write technical event logs locally.
Security, retention and your choices
The local library relies on your device's app sandbox and security; it is not separately encrypted by the app. Backups are integrity-checked but unencrypted. Google documents HTTPS for SDK telemetry. User-directed exports and printer connections have different protections, so we do not claim that every transfer is encrypted.
Local data remains until you remove it or uninstall the app, subject to device backups. SDK data retention is governed by Google's policies and your choices. Denying camera or printer permissions leaves manual label creation available. File export on iOS requires an active subscription. Manage permissions through device settings. There is no developer account to delete.
Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete or restrict personal information, withdraw consent, or complain to a privacy authority. Contact us at omdeeppiyanp@gmail.com for privacy requests. We do not have access to your local label library and may direct you to device controls or Google's services for data held there. Emailing support shares your email address and message with Piya Traders and our email provider; we use it to answer and resolve your request and retain it only as needed for that purpose or applicable obligations. Do not send passwords or unnecessary customer data.
Children
Label Maker is a general productivity tool and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly seek personal information from children. Contact us if you believe a child has provided information through support.
Changes and contact
We may update this policy to reflect changes in the app or its services. The effective date appears at the top. For support or privacy questions, contact Piya Traders at omdeeppiyanp@gmail.com.
